Navigate to the Stake page on Core web by selecting Stake from the left navigation bar.
Select Validate on the right side of the page.
Confirm the Account, or select a different account.
Enter the Node ID, the unique node identifier for the validator on the Primary Network.
Enter the BLS Public Key and BLS Signature for the node.
Enter the amount of AVAX to validate. Use Select UTXOs to choose specific UTXOs if needed.
Specify if the validator should Auto Renew or not.
Set the Cycle Duration for the auto renewed validator.
If the validator is set to Auto Renew, specify how much the rewards compound for each restaking period.
Under Stake duration, set the length of the staking period by selecting a preset duration or selecting Custom to set an end date.
Set the Rewards address to either the current active address or a custom address.
Set the Delegation fee percentage, and set the delegation rewards address to either the current active address or a custom address.
Select Review.
On the Review and confirm screen, review all the validation details.
Select the acknowledgment checkbox to confirm the node key files are safely stored.
Select Validate and approve with the connected wallet.
The user must confirm that their staker.crt, staker.key, and signer.key files are safely stored before validating. Failure to back up these files may result in loss of funds and node data.
Important notes on validating:
A node must already be set up to become a validator. For more information on how to do so, please refer to our developer documentation.
The minimum amount of AVAX to validate is 2,000 AVAX on the Avalanche mainnet.
The validation duration can be set between 1 and 365 days on the Avalanche mainnet. This duration is NOT changeable after being initiated.
The delegation fee can be set between 2% and 100%.
