Core mobile: How do I access an existing wallet?

A guide for users to learn how to access their existing wallets in the Avalanche native wallet, Core mobile.

  1. If Core mobile is not already installed, users can download it from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, depending on their device.

  2. Open the application.

  3. Users will have two options to access an existing wallet:

    1. Continue with Google / Apple.

    2. Access Existing Wallet

Google or Apple Login

  1. Select either Connect with Google or Connect with Apple.

  2. Select the email address or add it if it is not already logged in on the mobile device.

  3. If users have set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for their account previously, use it to complete the log in. They can also choose to add MFA at this step, or set it up later.

  4. Acknowledge the Terms and Conditions.

  5. Choose to opt in to Core Analytics by selecting Unlock / No thanks.

  6. Create and verify a PIN.

  7. Users will be asked if they want to use biometric login for the application (Face ID or Touch ID).

  8. Name the wallet and select an avatar

Recovery Phrase

  1. Select Access Existing Wallet.

  2. Select Type in a recovery phrase.

  3. Acknowledge the Terms and Conditions.

  4. Choose to opt in/out for Core Analytics by selecting Unlock / No thanks.

  5. Enter the recovery phrase and click Import.

  6. Create and verify a PIN.

  7. Users will be asked if they want to use biometric login for the application (Face ID or Touch ID).

  8. Name the wallet and select an avatar

Ledger

  1. Select Access Existing Wallet.

  2. Choose Add using Ledger.

  3. Acknowledge the Terms and Conditions.

  4. Choose to opt in/out for Core Analytics by selecting Unlock / No thanks.

  5. Create and verify a PIN.

  6. Users will be asked if they want to use biometric login for the application (Face ID or Touch ID).

  7. Review and choose one of two setup methods:

    1. BIP44

    2. Ledger Live

  8. Scan for Device and Connect your Ledger.

  9. To connect to the Avalanche App, ensure your Ledger is unlocked and the Avalanche app open. Then, hit Continue.

  10. Optional: Unlock the Ledger and open the Solana app and hit Continue, to connect to Solana. Otherwise, choose Skip Solana.

  11. Wait for setup to complete then tap, Complete Setup.

  12. Name the wallet and select an avatar.

Keystone 3 Pro

  1. Select Access Existing Wallet.

  2. Select Add using Keystone.

  3. Acknowledge the Terms and Conditions.

  4. Choose to opt in/out for Core Analytics by selecting Unlock / No thanks.

  5. Open the Connect to Software wallet option on the Keystone 3 Pro and select Core.

  6. Scan the QR code shown on the Keystone 3 Pro.

  7. Create and verify a PIN.

  8. Users will be asked if they want to use biometric login for the application (Face ID or Touch ID).

  9. Name the wallet and select an avatar
